NYE Terms and Conditions

ADVICE FROM THE DARWIN WATERFRONT CORPORATION 

Patrons are encouraged to park in the CBD or catch public transport into the city for the evening then take a short stroll across the Sky Bridge or down Hughes Avenue and into the celebrations. Kitchener Drive will be closed from 3pm with limited on-street parking available along Stokes Hill Road, the Darwin Convention Centre and the Mavie Street Overflow.

MINIMUM SPEND REQUIREMENTS

Area – The Lawn

Each Booking in for one of our 2400mm benches.  Each bench has a minimum spend requirement.

HOLDING TABLES

We will not hold any tables unless the booking has been paid in full.  Only then will your booking be confirmed.

CANCELLATION OF A BOOKING, BY YOU

Please notify us in writing by email of any cancellation prior to your booking date. 

Cancellations made more than 7 days prior to your booking date will incur a charge of 25% of the minimum spend or quoted food and beverage price.  Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to your booking date will incur a charge of 50% of your agreed minimum spend or the quoted food and beverage price.

CANCELLATION OF A BOOKING, BY US

Please note, in the event of rain & storms, we may have to cancel the booking to the lawn area.  There is a significant risk of rain and story event during wet season.  In the event that we cancel you booking, which will only happen if the event is cancelled, we will refund your money.  We will not be able to relocate your booking due to weather.  The risk is yours and there will not be any compensation for cancelled bookings, other than the refund.  In saying this, it is also the highest demand spot to take in the amazing fireworks displays.  We think it is worth the risk.   

PAYMENT

Payments are made in full on the booking of your tables via your preferred method of payment. We accept cash, EFTPOS and credit cards. EFT payments will be confirmed once received.

Payments made with Visa or MasterCard incur a 1% surcharge and American

SERVICE OF FOOD

Please ensure you arrive on time for you allocated service time.  

  • First sitting is from 5pm until 8.45pm.  Guest tables are required to be vacant at 9pm
  • Second Sitting is from 9.15pm until 11.30pm. Guest tables are required to be vacant at 12am.

In the event of arriving late for your reservation, you will forgo the food and courses planned to be served to this time.  Please ensure you arrive in time to make the most of your evening.  There will be no refunds and we will be unable to catch up you courses. 

MENUS AND DIETARY REQUIRMENTS

Our menus are subject to change due to the availability of seasonal and fresh produce.  Please advise if guests have special dietary requirements at least 7 days prior to your event date so the kitchen can accommodate such requirements.

NOISE LEVELS

As we are located in a mixed use / residential area we are obligated to maintain reasonable noise levels. Noise levels are monitored during all functions and we will, at our discretion, determine if adjustments need to be made. It is the responsibility of the event client to ensure that guests comply with this policy.

SECURITY

Snapper Rocks reserves the right to eject any guests if their actions are deemed noisy, offensive or illegal.

DUTY OF CARE

Under the liquor licensing laws of Northern Territory we have a duty of care to all our clients and reserve the right of our duty manager to refuse service of alcohol to persons he/she deems are intoxicated and may do harm to themselves other patrons or property.

CHILDREN

Children are considered 3 -12 Years old.  Children under three years of age will not be charged, but will either be allocated a highchair or will need to sit on a parent lap.
